One dead after Dillon Co. nightclub shooting, Fatal Shooting Under Investigation in Hamer
HAMER, S.C. – A late-night shooting has claimed one life in Hamer, prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities.
The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. this morning in the vicinity of the Vanity Lounge, located at 3139 Highway 301 North. According to Dillon County Sheriff Jamie Hamilton, one individual was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds. The victim later succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased.
No arrests have been made at this time. Sheriff Hamilton stated that authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and that additional information will be released as it becomes available.
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley confirmed the fatality but stated that the identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
